Lukoil Eyes Arctic Offshore

Following the recent Arctic deal between Rosneft and BP, Russia's top privately owned oil firm, Lukoil, said it would also be interest- ed in working offshore with the Russian state- controlled company. Lukoil head Vagit Alekperov said his company "would welcome" joint projects with Rosneft in any Arctic off- shore fields that are not part of the BP deal. ?°We would be glad to hold talks with Rosneft" on such projects, he was quoted as saying.
