Maersk Oil's Gryphon floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel, which had been producing from the UK North Sea Gryphon, Maclure and Tullich fields, will sail to Rotterdam's Damen shipyard later this month for repairs after some of its anchors snapped during a storm in February. It is scheduled to return in spring 2012. While Gryphon is away, repairs will be carried out to subsurface infrastructure damaged in the storm; subsurface wells and manifolds escaped unscathed.
