Neither Moscow nor Ankara got what they wanted during the recent three-day visit to Russia of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with each saying negotiations on major energy projects will have to continue. Erdogan met with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Wednesday for talks designed to secure a discount on Russian gas supplies under Turkey's existing take-or-pay scheme. Speaking to journalists after the talks, Medvedev said Russia is ready to make concessions, but wants some from Turkey in exchange.
