Crude futures on Nymex retreated on Monday in reaction to comments from Saudi Oil Minister Ali Naimi, who said that Opec would be able to increase pro- duction to meet any uptick in demand. At the same time, traders continue to worry about the Chinese economy overheating and debt crises worsening in Europe, both of which are possible bearish devel- opments for oil markets.
