Russia's Gazprom Neft has awarded fur- ther contracts at Iraq's 3 billion bbl Badra oi field, which it won with Korea Gas (Kogas), Malaysia's Petronas and Turkey's TPAO in Baghdad's second licensing round in Decem ber 2009. The Russian state firm said Thurs day that French Technip has been chosen to carry out front-end engineering and design, for completion by June. Iraqi construction firm Almco has been awarded a contract to build roads and well sites, as well as a per- manent camp. Gazprom Neft has also hand ed over bids submitted for well drilling and integrated project management to the Iraqi oil ministry and to state North Oil Co. (NOC) for approval.
