Surging Demand Causes Argentina to Boost LNG Imports

Argentina has imported more LNG than planned so far this year, and the country wil almost certainly take regular shipments dur- ing the southern hemisphere's summer months for the first time. Carlos Davidson, a spokesman for state energy firm Enarsa, says the company has taken delivery of 15 LNG cargoes since March and will take about five more by next March. Before the southern-hemisphere win ter, which began in June, Enarsa had said it would import 14 cargoes.
