Canada's Talisman Energy has failed to win a license extension for its PRL 5 Block in Papua New Guinea (PNG). Partner Horizon Oil said Monday that the exten- sion was refused by PNG's minister of pe- troleum and energy, who had earlier sug- gested he would not renew the license be- cause the joint venture had not met the terms - a claim disputed by the partners.
