Petrofac, Shell Team on UK CCS

UK-listed services firm Petrofac is team- ing up with Royal Dutch Shell to redevelop the UK North Sea Goldeneye gas field as a potential carbon dioxide storage site for a carbon capture project in Scotland. Shell will be operator of the storage venture while Petrofac subsidiary CO2DeepStore will provide offshore engineering, modifi- cation and operations services for the car- bon capture and storage (CCS) project at Longannet, Fife.
