Japanese oil product stocks for the week ending May 8 rose 4.4% to 76.016 million bbl, according to data released this week by he Petroleum Association of Japan (PAJ). Middle distillates — gas oil, kerosene and jet fuel — as well as fuel oil posted the biggest gains. Kerosene was up 13% to nearly 9.7 million bbl. Gas oil rose 7.8% to 12 million bbl, while jet was up 3% to 5.2 million bbl. Fuel oil stocks rose 8.7% to 24.2 million bbl.
