Russian state gas giant Gazprom has held another round of talks with China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) on price terms for Russian gas deliveries to China scheduled to start in 2014-15. During the talks in Russia — led by Gazprom Deputy Chairman Alexander Medvedev and CNPC Vice President Wang Dongjin — the sides “continued to discuss commercial parameters” for Russian gas sup- plies, Gazprom said in a statement. It added that new price offers meant they were moving closer to an agreement, although a Gazprom spokesman told International Oil Daily there is no deadline for a final deal. Gazprom Deputy Chief Executive Valery Golubev had earlier said key details should be finalized by the end of the year (IOD Apr.13,p8).
