Europe's leading independent is bucking the market with a share issue and a new $2 billion borrowing to fund its African expansion in Ghana and Uganda. The UK's Tullow Oil is raising around ￡400 million ($565 million) with the shares and says it already has bank approvals for about $1.2 billion of the new credit line.
