Technip Italy signs deal to upgrade Azerikimya’s ethylene-PE facility

LONDON (ICIS)--Azerbaijan’s Azerikimya Production Union at the weekend signed a contract with Technip Italy for the latter to reconstruct and modernise a 20-year-old ethylene-polyethylene facility, the company said on Monday. Azerikimya, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), said the work would be completed by 2018 or 2019 under an engineering and procurement services contract (EPC).
