K+S' revenue rises in January-June

German mining and resources firm K+S' revenue rose by 16pc in the first half of this year from a year earlier to ?2.3bn ($2.6bn), owing to a higher average sales price and a stronger US dollar against the euro. The company's potash and magnesium division contributed ?1.1bn to the total, up by 14.5pc over the period. The sector posted revenue of ?500mn in the second quarter, 8.5pc higher year on year.
