Dusup Signs 10-Year Leasing Agreement with Excelerate Energy for a Floating LNG Storage and Regasification Unit

Dubai Supply Authority (Dusup) has signed a 10-year agreement with Excelerate Energy for the lease and operation of a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage and regasification unit (FSRU) to be located at Dusup’s existing LNG import terminal in Jebel Ali. The company is responsible for supplying energy to several key power stations and industrial companies in Dubai and has “partnered with Excelerate in order to meet the growing demand for natural gas in the emirate,” it explained in a statement.
