Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) has completed the installation of the condenser at its first nuclear power station at Barakah. The elements of this key piece of equipment were fabricated in South Korea, according to a statement released by the UAE’s official Wam news agency. As ENEC explains, nuclear fission creates heat, which turns water into steam; the pressure of the steam turns a generator, which produces electricity, and the condenser cools the steam back into water, allowing the process to repeat continuously.
