China’s largest state-controlled coal mining firm Shenhua iscutting emissions at its coal-fired power plants to complywith the government's push to reduce air pollution.Shenhua plans to invest 19bn yuan ($2.9bn) in 1,230projects to cut harmful emissions at the coal plants it owns and operates during the 13th five-year plan from 2016-20.The investment will help reduce coal emissions to the samelevels mandated for gas-fired plants.
