Nevada Power fnalizes Reid Gardner purchase

Nevada Power has completed its purchase of the remaining interest in unit 4 of the Reid Gardner coal-fred plant, federal documents show. In a fling to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Nevada Power said that it wrapped up its purchase of the facility near Moapa, Nevada, on 22 October. FERC approved the deal on 7 October over the wishes of Nevada regulators. The company's notifcation letter did not provide details on the fnancial terms of the purchase from the California Department of Water Resources.
