The self-assembly of organic molecules, termed supramolec-ular assembly, has been reported extensively from nanosized molecular clusters to microscale assemblies. Increasing attention has recently focused on macroscopic supramolec-ular assembly within the millimeter to centimeter range. Assemblies on this scale display both molecular and macroscopic benefits, such as structural flexibility and shape adjustability.
