Siderúrgica Nacional SA's (CSN's) results in the second quarter as production fell and slab costs jumped, although the company was able to cut its net loss compared with a year earlier.Maintenance at its No. 3 blast furnace caused the steelmaker's finished steel output to fall 35.3 percent to 668,000 tonnes from 1.03 million tonnes in the second quarter of last year, while slab production fell 55.3 percent to 500,000 tonnes from 1.12 million tonnes in the same comparison.
