Metal shippers are becoming increasingly reliant on containers rather than breakbulk to transport cargo in order to cut costs, protect products and boost supply chain efficiency. West Chester, Pa.-based Coil-Tainer Ltd., a non-vessel operating common carrier that specializes in the movement of steel coils, has seen this trend toward containerization gain momentum since the 2009 recession, sales and marketing manager Dirk Van Landeghem told AMM.
