Pipe prices moved on different tracks in September, with the hollow structural sections (HSS) market participants reporting some softening due to a drop in coil prices as some oil country tubular goods (OCTG) products were said to be higher. The rise in some OCTG products stemmed from a recent price hike and a trade case filed against nine countries in July (amm.com, July 2).
