Bayer sells home and garden business

Bayer CropScience has sold its non-crop business Environmental Science’s retail consumer ventures, Bayer Garden and Bayer Advanced, to French business SBM Developpement. The businesses encompass the European and North American markets. They contributed some ?239 million ($287 million at the current rate) to Environmental Science’s 2015 sales of ?819 million ($915 million). The deal was agreed in May.
