Yangnong’s agchem sales down 6% in 2014

Chinese agrochemical company Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical recorded a 6.3% drop in agrochemical sales in 2014 to Yuan 2,787 million ($449.5 million at the current rate). Net profits for 2014 increased by 20.4% to Yuan 454.7 million ($73.3 million). Yangnong, once a mainstay at the top end of China’s agrochemical companies by revenues, dropped out of the top five in this year’s ranking. Exports accounted for the majority of Yangnong’s annual sales, but they fell 11.4% to Yuan 1,970.2 million ($317.7 million), while domestic sales increased by 9% to Yuan 816.7 million ($131.7 million).
