UPL agchem sales up 18% in 2013/14

Indian agrochemical company UPL (formerly United Phosphorus) recorded an agrochemical sales rise of 17.7% to Rs 99,760 million ($1,682 million at the current rate) in its financial year ended March 31st 2014. Agrochemicals accounted for 91.5% of the company’s consolidated gross revenues of Rs 109,020 million ($1,838 million), which grew by 17.3%. Domestic sales, which made up over 20.8% of total revenues, provided the main boost, rising by over a quarter (25.8%) to Rs 22,710 million ($383 million). International sales grew by 15.3%.
