摘要

We have isolated SLF/SFB gene candidates in some apple cultivars. Pollen cDNA and genomic clones obtained from S1, S20, S24, S33 and S34 haplotypes were grouped based on phylogenetic analysis. It was suggested that a haplotype-specific new gene, rather than SLFB1, was present in S1. The gene was expressed in pollen, and its V1 to V4 regions, which seemed to be important for allele discrimination, and was different from those in the other haplotypes. In contrast, only a few amino acid differences within the V1 region were observed between SLFB1 and other haplotypes.
