Genetic variation of sour jujube (Ziziphus acidojujuba C.Y. Cheng et M.J. Liu) was analyzed using 22 polymorphic primers by RAPD technique in this paper. Total 266 loci were amplified, of which 236 loci were polymorphic with an average polymorphic loci ratio of 89%, and 37 specific markers were amplified in 17 sour jujube germplasms. Twenty-six wild germplasms were divided into 4 groups by clustering analysis with an average Euclidean distance of sour jujube germplasms of 8.546. Genetic variation of sour jujube was higher than that of Chinese jujube on view of average polymorphic loci ratio and average Euclidean distance. The propagation analyses of sour jujube showed that both sexual and asexual propagation contribute to the high diversity of sour jujube.
