Eastern US to see milder-than-normal May, June, July: WSI forecast

Below-normal temperatures are likely in May, June and July in most of the eastern half of the US, while above-normal temperatures are expected in much of the West and North Central US, according to Weather Services International. “As the 2015 El Nino event continues to emerge and strengthen, we expect the prevailing pattern over the next few months to acquire more of an El Nino ‘flavor,’ with above-normal temperatures [in the] north and west, and below-normal temperatures [in the] south and east,” said WSI Chief Meteorologist Todd Crawford.
