Liquid by-products from wood & forest industry find use in WPCs

摘要

A novel method for adding liquid by-products from the wood industry into wood-plastic composites (WPCs) prior to manufacturing has been developed by the University of Eastern Finland. The study also discovered that proton-transfer-reaction mass-spectrometry (PTR-MS) is a suitable method for measuring the amounts of volatile organic compounds, VOCs, released from WPCs.
