Come forward with specific policy recommendations: Government

While the Indian Government is keen to support industry by policy measures, industry needs to come forward and come up with specific policy recommendations to create an enabling ecosystem for the industry. Addressing a conference on 'Championing Manufacturing in India' organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in New Delhi on May 6, Mr. Samir Kumar Biswas, Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, stressed the need for the chemical industry to grow faster than the overall industrial growth.
