The week under review saw downward revision in the prices of most solvents, phenol-acetone, fiber intermediates and oxo-alcohols. Propylene glycol and styrene also ruled lower. Toluene (Reliance) was up by Rs. 1.50 and ruled at Rs. 49 (basic) in bulk, while packed material ruled at Rs. 54 (basic). BPCL material was quoted at Rs. 49.70 (basic) in bulk. Imported toluene was quoted in the range of Rs. 49/50 in bulk. Benzene domestic was quoted Rs. 2.50 lower at Rs. 46 (basic), while BPCL's benzene ruled at Rs. 47.25 (basic) in bulk. Imported benzene ruled in the region of Rs. 48/49- per kg. (basic).
