Dimethyl ether (DME) finds a wide range of application in various segments; historically it was only employed as an aerosol propellant, but with time DME proved its potential to act as a substitute of propane in LPG and also as a diesel substitute. Driven by its clean-burning properties, DME consumption is increasing at a significant pace, especially in Asia-Pacific.
