German speciality chemicals firm, Lanxess, is strengthening its iron oxide pigments production network in China to meet growing demand. The company announced plans to add a mixing and milling plant to the pigment plant already under construction in Ningbo. This brings the total investment at the Ningbo site from around ?55-mn to around ?60-mn. Potential customers for the iron oxide pigments are the coatings, plastics, construction and paper industries.
