Dow to divest Angus Chemical unit for $1.21-bn

Dow Chemical has signed a deal to sell its Angus Chemical subsidiary to American private equity firm Golden Gate Capital for $1.21-bn. The sale includes the Angus business headquarters and research and development (R&D) facility in Illinois; manufacturing facilities in Louisiana, and Ibbenbueren, Germany; and a packaging facility in Niagara Falls, New York. The deal also comprises associated business, inventory, customer contracts, process technology and certain intellectual property.
