Refinery throughput exceeds target by 2.1% in 2012-13

Indian refineries registered a crude throughput of 181.734-mt during 2012-13, 2.1.4% above the target of 177.911 -mt for the year and significantly higher than the 169.992-mt output registered in 2011-12. Public sector refineries registered a crude throughput of 126.206-mt during the period, as against the targeted 126.807-mt. Throughput was below target at IOC's Koyali and Haldia refineries, BORL's Bina refinery, NRL's Numaligarh refinery, ONGC's Tatipaka refinery and CPCL's Manali and Nari-manam refineries. In other refineries, it was above target.
