India & China to drive growth in global speciality chemicals markets; Indian market to reach $40-bn by 2011

India and China are expected to drive growth in the $640-bn global speciality chemical markets, driven by strong demand growth in major consuming sectors such as construction, automobiles and electronic consumables. China, in particular, is expected to show strong demand and expected to grow at 9% annually -as compared to 3% in the developed triad of Western Europe, Japan and North America - and its share of the global speciality chemicals market is expected to increase by nearly 50% to 12% by 2012.
