Khaitan Fertilisers rocked by raw material prices

Topsy-turvy rock phosphate prices have rocked Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilisers Ltd. (KCFL), a leading producer of single super phosphate (SSP) and sulphuric acid. In the footnotes to its latest quarterly results, KCFL said: "the performance of the fertilisers & chemicals segment was badly affected due to high cost inventory of imported rock phosphate, which could not be offset either by sales realizations or subsidy."
