Ample supplies coupled with reduced offtake by consuming industries owing to monsoon season kept Delhi wholesale chemicals market depressed during the past week. Caustic soda flake plummeted to a low of Rs. 1,070, losing Rs. 30 per 50 kg. Prices for forward deliveries were reportedly quoting even lower at Rs. 925/930 per bag. According to market sources, prices of caustic soda flake may ease further by Rs. 70 in view of poor buying sentiments.
