Soda ash firms as manufacturers hike prices; Caustic soda flakes ease

Mixed trends were noticed on the Delhi wholesale chemicals market during the past week. With manufacturers increasing the sale price of Soda ash and Sodium bicarbonate, amidst tight inventory, prices of both chemicals surged by Rs. 65/105 to Rs. 1125/1150 and Rs. 1075 per 50-kg bag on the wholesale market at the end of the week. Improved supplies, coupled with lower offtake by consuming industries, eased Caustic soda flakes by Rs. 35 to Rs. 1600 per 50-kg.
