South Korea's Songwon Industrial Co.Ltd,which is into manufacturing of polymer additives,intermediates and resins,has been making huge investments in enhancing capacities.Close on the heels of investing US120-rnn in a grassroots antioxidant manufacturing site in Maeam,Korea,it announced an investment of US2Q-mn to integrate backwards into production of high purity isobutyiene with a capacity of 30,000-tpa.The antioxidant plant,which came on stream in April this year,increased Songwon production capacity to 55,000-tpa,making it the number two producer globally.
