Evonik targets annual sales growth of 5% in plastics market upto 2010

Evonik Industries,via its Chemicals Business Area,is bullish on the growth prospects in the plastics market."We intend to achieve an annual growth in sales of around 5% on the plastics market up to 2010,and to some extent much more in the case of special high performance plastics," revealed Dr.Manfred Spindler,member of the Management Board of Evonik Degussa GmbH.Evonik posted plastics sales of Euro 1 9-bn in fiscal 2006,and intends to boost this figure to around Euro 2.3-bn by 2010."The business is one of Evonik's large-margin growth areas," added Dr.Spindler.
