Formosa to add 1.2 mtpa cracker; eyes end-Oct listing

Taiwan's only private refiner, Formosa Petrochemical Corp, has said it would soon begin construction on a third naphtha cracker and aimed to list on the island's main exchange as early as end-October. The Tus20 bn (us580 mn) cracker will have an annual capacity of 1.2 m.t. of ethylene and will be completed within three years at Formosa's petrochemical complex in central Taiwan, executive vice president Wilfred Wang said.
