The interaction of boron carbide with nickel oxide

The chemical interaction in the mixtures 0,9625 B{sub}4C+0,05 NiO+0,0375 C, B{sub}4C+NiO, B{sub}4C+4 NiO+3 C is investigated by the methods of thermodynamic and X-ray phrase analyses. In these mixtures, the stages of processes, that correspond to different temperature ranges, are established. It is shown that in all cases NiB contained additives of lower borides in amounts of no more then 2 mass%.
