Supercharge System to Enhance Operation Range of Four-Stroke Diesel Engine

Results are discussed of long-term research of diesel engines with different turbosupercharging systems, such as those featuring controllable turbo-blower guide vanes, two-stage systems, those with turbo-blower mechanically connected to engine crankshaft, etc. Fuel consumption characteristics are presented of engine model 124H 26/26 featuring "register" type supercharging system that has been selected based on comparative tests. 5 ill., 4 ref.
