摘要

The relationship between the fracture resistance of welded joints, made from aluminum-lithium alloys 1420 and 1460, and the method of welding (with consumable and non-consumable electrode, electron beam) was established. It is shown that the different thermal conditions of welding lead to a different degree of metal weakening in the heat-affected zone (HAZ). The use of a highly-concentrated heat source in electron beam welding provides the higher resistance to initiation and propagation of cracks. Coming from all the examined zones of the welded joints the metal of weld and parent metal fusion line has the lowest fracture resistance, not depending on the method of joining.
