摘要

It is very important to perform kinetic analysis for examining knee joint. To diagnosis the relation between the Fumur and the Tibia during the X-ray images of lateral projection of knee joint flexion movement, the automated detection of the lateral condyle of the Femur was performed. It is difficult to distinguish the lateral and medial condyle of the Femur, and each condyle movement is different. In this study, we tried to detect for an oval pattern, which is a similar shape of the condyle of the Femur. To detect the lateral condyle of the Femur, edge enhancement by Sobel operator, thresholding, and templete matching techniques were parformed, and then good results were gained.
