摘要

Systems which combine real space with virtual space in the computer using three-dimensional position sensor for navigate surgery have been studied. In order to design an accurate surgical navigation system, error analysis is important. The system error is affected by many error factors of the system. Thus, we need to understand them and to analysis the overall system error. We extend a previous system representation method, which is called "registration graph" so that the graph includes design information of the system and enables to calculate the system error automatically. A user only describes design information of the system, does not need to know how the error is generated. Furthermore, we describe the system structure using XML. The proposed method was applied to actual system design and its usefulness was confirmed.
