摘要

In this study, we investigated human strategy of path selection behavior and proposed a model for the behavior. In the experiment, a moving obstacle was displayed in the immersive virtual reality system. Subjects were required to walk from a start point to a goal point in the virtual space and their walking trajectory was measured. The results showed that subjects saved walking distance rather than time, and that some subjects walked straight from a start point even when other paths were safer. The model for the path selection strategy, which composed of two stages of global path planning and local direction control, was proposed to account for the experimental results. In the first stage, the model determined a transit point which minimize an equation consisting of terms about the walking distance and dangerousness. In the subsequent stage, the walking direction was calculated at every step to aviod a moving obstacle. The result of the simulation was well accounted for the experimental results in general.
