Microwave test bench (MTB) for on-site measurement, provided where the design, manufacture, adjustment and inspection of electronic equipment are carried out is usually in an electro-magnetic environment complicated by reflection and/or diffraction through the floor, ceiling, walls, and in-room facilities. However, tile international recommendation calling for the deviations of measured values to be within ±4dB should be followed. CENELEC has recommended to use an antenna whose element length is 40cm or less for evaluation, following the official adoption of the Fully Anechoic Room (FAR). This paper is a practical report about the free space verification system using mini-biconical antennas (two kinds) with 40cm-or-less element length. The system can be applied widely for evaluation of the test bench and the FAR.
