摘要

Two-dimensional read/write simulation based onsolution of the Poisson equation was performed on keeperedmedia with a thin soft magnetic layer and a conventionalrecording one, and a thin-film head system. It was found that thecenter of the virtual gap created in the read process shifts to thedirection opposite to the magnetization direction of the recordinglayer, and that this shift induces an asymmetrical outputwaveform. A permeability #mu#=100 of the keeper layer wasfound to reduce the demagnetizing field in the recording layer by 1/2.
