Considerations on the improvement of the thrust of a linear parametric motor with an open magnetic circuit using I- Shaped core

摘要

This paper describe the construction and basiccharacteristics of a liner parametric motor with an open magneticcircuit by using I-shape core. The linear motor can be used by asingle phase power source, and has overload protectioncharacteristics. To increase the value of the thrust-to-mass ratio,we reduced the mass of a 4-ledgged linear parametric motor byeliminating a part of the magnetic circuit experimentally. Toincrease the thrust further, we investigated the design method of a4-legged linear motor assembled by using I-shaped laminated cores.
